Our History

Quatre Bornes Aztecs Sports Club was founded in December 1978 with a vision of providing young people with opportunities to develop their football talent while promoting discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship.

For more than four decades, the Club has been part of the football community in Quatre Bornes, nurturing local talent and creating a pathway for players to compete at regional level. Throughout its history, the Club has earned a reputation for commitment, determination and competitive football, achieving success in regional competitions and becoming a respected name in Mauritian football.

As from July 2026, Quatre Bornes Aztecs Sports Club is being revitalised with a renewed focus on youth development, coaching excellence, community engagement and modern football management.

Today, the Club aims to build on its proud heritage while embracing innovation to become one of the leading football development clubs in the locality.

Main role

Sets the club's long-term direction, chairs the executive committee and represents the Aztecs at MFA and regional council meetings.

Founding member of QB Aztecs SC. Three decades of service to Mauritian community football.

Priya Bissoondoyal

Main role

Runs the day-to-day governance: minutes, safeguarding, member records and official correspondence.

Leads governance, safeguarding and administration. Champion of women's participation across every age category.

Dr. Sandhya Beeharry

Main role

Provides matchday medical cover, manages injury assessment and return-to-play protocols across every squad.

Oversees injury prevention, return-to-play protocols and matchday medical cover.

Treasurer

Kavi Jhurry

Main role

Manages club finances, fees, sponsorship income and prepares the annual budget presented to members.

Chartered accountant with fifteen years of experience in the Mauritian sports sector.

The team leading training and matchday for every squad.

Head Coach — Senior Team

Jean-Marc Auguste

Main role

Plans the senior training week, picks matchday squads and leads tactical preparation for every league fixture.

Former MPL Division One striker. Nine seasons on the Aztecs bench with two regional titles.

VC

Head Coach — U15 & U18

Vikram Callychurn

Main role

Coaches U15 and U18, prepares players for the senior pathway and manages youth-league selection.

Youth specialist who has produced multiple national U17 call-ups. Positional-play focus.

AR

Academy Director (U8–U12)

Anisha Ramsamy

Main role

Designs the foundation-phase curriculum, mentors junior coaches and oversees every U8–U12 session.

Focus on movement literacy, ball mastery and joyful, high-repetition sessions.

LP

Assistant Coach — Academy

Loic Perrine

Main role

Supports foundation and youth coaches across weekly sessions and matchday delivery for U10 and U15.

UEFA C licensed. Six seasons in academy coaching across the central plateau.
